Alpine Air Complaint - Invalid Invoice
RICHMOND HEIGHTS, MISSOURI -- I am writing this letter in regards to invoice 17487. This is not a valid invoice as it reflects (1) improper diagnosis of furnace problem, and (2) work not approved.
(1) Alpine Air diagnosis of “blower motor overheating” was NOT the case. The reason furnace was shutting off every 20-30 minutes was due to a broken “trap” that was not allowing the water to drain properly from the unit and tripping the safety mechanism.
I was able to trouble-shoot this problem with another carrier service location that properly diagnosed the problem after a simple 30-second phone explanation of the symptoms over the phone. The trap unit was repaired for under $8.00 as opposed to Alpine Air’s estimate of $600-$800 to replace the “blower housing wheel” and “motor”.
(2) Further, this work was never approved. The Alpine Air service person was supposed to go to this property to diagnose the problem, which they were never able to successfully do.
It was recently brought to my attention that you have started harassing the tenants of the property to pay this invalid bill. If you continue to contact them regarding this matter, I will be forced to take complaint with the FTC and Better Business Bureau.
Further, if your harassment has any impact, directly or indirectly, on my ability to re-lease the property to the current tenants, I will be seeking legal action and damages from your company.
To help keep me as a potential future customer, I would like the following:
Do not contact my tenants any more regarding this matter, and remove this invalid invoice from my file.
At the very least I would like a response from your company regarding this incident. Thank you for your time.
