USAA/Property Insurance Informative - Confusion With Coverage of 55 Years by an Air Force Colonel, Retired Having First Claim Ever

TEXAS -- My husband is the Retired Air Force Colonel I speak of and we are both very stressed by the time it has taken to even decide what is to be covered which has already been 3 months. My husband is almost 80 and parts of USAA have been wonderful but the construction part has been nonresponsive, extremely slow to make decisions, and worst of all has been so cheap with him who has been with USAA for 55 years and never had a claim. I emailed USAA and ask if they would like to use him for an advertisement to show how they take care of a customer of 55 years and there has again been no response. USAA recommended a company for the construction and that company has also been unresponsive and secretive about costs. My husband deserves better than this for all his loyalty to USAA. We have now talked to several people who say they have dropped USAA because of cost and service. Here is a great opportunity to show USAA cares about its loyal customers.

Retired Air Force Colonel or Buck Private, 55 years as a customer should stand for something. More details would be nice.
