American Furniture and Electronics Complaint - Bad Rebate Promotion

COTTELVILLE, MISSOURI -- I purchased a mattress set on 5/14/11 and part of the promotion was free delivery through a rebate. The sales clerk handed me the papers I would need to mail to receive a refund of $75.00. The furniture was delivered 5/24/11, on time and great service there. The delivery man reminded me to mail in the rebate which I did the following day. After 8 weeks and no rebate I called customer service and they said the rebate had been denied because all the papewrok was not submitted. I explained I included everything I was given and they said there was nothing they could do. I called the sales person who said they were no longer American furniture and electronics and I was out of luck. WHAT A RIP OFF. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND REFUND PROMOTIONS.....

I avoid rebate offers at all costs. Rebate offers, are designed, to make it extremely difficult to meet the terms and they will deny a rebate for the simplest of mistakes. Sorry to hear about your situation.
