Wendy's Compliment - Still the Same

My daughter came home for a visit late last Friday night and, as usual, was hungry when she arrived. It was around midnight, and the only place open was Wendy's drive-thru. So off she went to get some late night snacks.
I had my usual chili and baked potato, and she had a bacon cheeseburger from the value menu. She also bought some nuggets for us to share.
I was a little worried about the chili because there have been reviews lately that the quality has gone downhill. Since I hadn't had it in a long time, I wondered if the chili from my Wendy's was still as good. When I opened the container, I was pleased to see that the chili was thick and meaty. After only one spoonful, I knew that nothing had changed. It was hot and delicious, and the same quality as always.
The potato was also hot and fresh, and the nuggets were extra crispy and tasted like they were just made. My daughter's burger looked extremely appetizing with two big slices of crispy bacon.
Even though it was midnight, all the food was freshly cooked and perfectly prepared. So I am pleased to report that Wendy's in my town is still the same, including the chili. Now, if I could just get them to make vegetarian chili, I'd have it made.

Almost every Saturday evening we get my Mother-in-law a chicken sandwich and coke at our local Wendys. It may not be 5 star fare, but she loves it. We had some problems with service a couple of years ago, but they changed management and now they're pretty efficient and error free. Good review, Venice! I'll have to get some of their chili next time we're down there.

Alain, I love Wendy's chicken, so I understand why your Mother-in-law wants a chicken sandwich. I prefer Wendy's to all other fast food. The food just seems more real to me. Sometimes when it's even too hot to grill, Wendy's comes in handy.

Very good review. At midnight, I kind of expect the food to be worse than if I ordered as noon. Glad to see they made quality food at that time of night.

Steve, it's always that way at our Wendy's drive-thru late at night. The reason might be because it's the only place open and very busy. They are constantly making fresh food. I know because my son used to work there.

I enjoy an occasional Wendy's but the location nearest my home is difficult to get in and out of due to traffic flow. I think they close shop at around 11:00 pm, 12:00 pm on weekends. The McDonalds right down the way is open 24/7 and the food is always fresh. None of those leftovers because it's nearing the closing hour and they seem to be always busy. I believe that's really the key to it all unless it's just a sorry location to begin with.

Our Wendy's happens to be exceptionally good. Our McDonald's is, too. No complaints.

I will only get the chicken sandwich at Wendy's. I used to enjoy their dollar menu, until it became the $1.50 and up menu.

Now that you mention it, yaya, my daughter said something about the dollar menu. I think it's called the value menu now because all the prices went up.

I'm a fan of MY Wendy's, but I have to say that I've been pleased with other locations, too. It's too bad yours isn't up to par. Maybe you should try it again to see if anything has changed. Sometimes it's just a matter of bad management.
