Time Warner Cable Complaint - Unethical Practices and Horrible Customer Service
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I have never written anything about a company, but I was compelled to do so after being gorged by TW for too long. For the past few years, I have been paying TW almost $100 a month just for internet and cable(they get you with a promotion rate and it escalates after it is up). I cancelled their service(I realized that with a Wii and $34 a month cable with AT&T I can purchase Netflix streaming for only $8 a month). A technician came to retrieve the box back and two months later I began receiving collection calls stating that I never returned the box. I kept the receipt and submitted that to the credit company and now I have to do extra work to contact the credit agencies to get this removed from my credit history. Horrible customer service all around from incompetent techs who are unable to submit correct info to idiot customer service reps who have no clue what they are doing and do not have conflict resolution skills. I went without internet and cable for almost 4 months and I survived using the library internet services. I wish I would have read all of the consumer reviews before I decided to go with Time Warner. I posted because this company does not deserve any more business. If a potential consumer is reading this, please look elsewhere.
