Red Lobster Complaint - Strange Object in Walts Famous Fish - Shrimp/Fried

Shrimp/Fried - Complaint
Review by sheilall2 on 2011-07-22
Had lunch at Red Lobster on 2055 Pleasant Hill Road on 7/11/11. Was eating the Walts fried Shrimp when I chewed on something hard. Took it out and placed on napkin and pushed aside. Bite into another one, chewed on something had again. Took it out and it appeared to be a tooth. Showed to the person who was with me and we showed the waitress, she got the manager. He took it and came to and said it look like a tooth. I told him I needed to keep it he told me no, they had to keep it for the insurance company. The insurance company would contact me in two business days. Has not happen. I took a picture of it, ask his name and who I needed to contact about the problem. I have made calls to that contact but have not gotten any response. Was told on 7/21/11 that the object was look at and it was not a tooth, but would not share what it was.

This is truly bad customer service. I will not bee eating there again.

What are you seeking as a resolution, some sort of payout?

That is gross...oh my. After reading other stories about objects found in food, I have learned one very important thing! Always hang on to that object, because they seem to go missing, or the company will claim it is something else and dismiss the case.

At least you took a picture of it though. I would keep on top of them. If they claim it is not a tooth, then they better tell you what the heck it was...it was in your food and in your mouth so it would be nice to know. Ick.

I think the OP is in Duluth GA

I'm with you OP, I would not be eating there again. As long as I didn't suffer any ill effects I personally wouldn't pursue it too much other than to let management know of the UO and then leave. But that's me.

While in Mexico I ordered a drink at the hotel bar. While drinking it I crushed something that was not an ice cube. Turned out to be a piece of the rim of the glass. The bartender ran off with the drink and all the pieces of glass before I realized what he was doing.

I asked for the manager in case I swallowed any of the glass. All of the sudden his English got very bad and did not understand what I was asking. Two minutes earlier his English was fine when we ordered our drinks. He knew nothing, the manager played dumb too.

I had no issues so it was all mute but did I learn a lesson, keep the evidence.

What happened to the first object that you bit on, and set aside? Did it look like a tooth also?

I don't know if this is bad customer service, as much as it is questionable food preparation.
