San Marcos Glass Complaint - Mistreated and Insulted at San Marcos Glass

SAN MARCOS -- San Marcos Glass has terrible service. I had to go to this place four times just to get a single piece of glass. They also were very disrespectful towards me when the guy who took down my measurements either wrote them down wrong or misheard what I told him. I get the glass home only to find out its not the right size. I take it back and the owner I presume treats me like I'm a lier. Then he comes out with the new glass and hands me a measuring tape with an attitude, adding insult to his first insult. Then the final insult comes when I go to pay the extra money for the larger size and he throws the money back at me as if he doesn't want my money.

Then there is my first and second visit to San Marcos Glass. On the first visit they tell me that they can't help me right now as the glass cutting guy has to work on their website. They give me a quote and tell me it will be a few days if I order. I leave and come back a few days later to order which is my second visit, when I go to order I tell the guy who took down my measurements that the quote he is giving me is about $15 more then what I was quoted the first time I came in. He also treats me like I'm not telling the truth, only to tell me I was right after he realizes that he miscalculated.

Conclusion, the guy taking the measurements miscalculates and takes down wrong measurements, everyone at San Marcos Glass must believe that their customers are always lying, they disrespect their customers and are too busy doing other things to take care of you like they should. If you are looking for desktop glass, mirrors, windows, shower doors or anything glass related from San Marcos Glass be prepared to be treated like a lier, receive terrible service, to be insulted and have your glass be the wrong size or what you ask for not to mention wasting a lot of your time making several trips to and from this place to get what you need.

Why did he throw the money back at you when you were trying to pay him? Did he say something when he threw it back at you?

My only comment here is that obviously it is wise to be absolutely positive measurements are correct before you leave a glass place.

I had a custom thermopane made once. I think it was around $450. The woman taking my order had indeed made an error, and acted a bit odd when I asked to verify the measurements. She corrected it without comment when I pointed it out.

What size glass did you order that you could pick up and transport home yourself? I'm asking because I have three areas in my home with custom glass tops and a rep came to my home, measured and the tops were delivered and put in place by their company. Had there been an error it would have been on them not a *I said, he said* situation. I have great respect for a sheet of glass and am not about to load one in my car and drive home. It's just too dangerous. Thanks for your review for anyone doing it himself.

Did you see the actual receipt where the tech wrote down the measurements?

Rude treatment, terrible and not deserving of your repeat business.
