SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA -- Extremely poor customer service.I purchased a 3 star hotel through Hotwire Hot Rates this week for the first time. I checked Hotel.com, Expedia, and Orbitz, I discovered that it was listed as a 2 1/2 star (As of today 1/24/11 Orbitz has it listed a 2 star) . I have screen shots of each site to prove the star ratings. I called customer service about the difference. I pointed out the star rating difference on the other sites. They checked it out and saw that it was different but refused to refund my money. I made it clear that I wasn't getting my money's worth but they refused to give me fair treatment. All the conversations were polite but very unhelpful and each reason given for a refund was met with "Hotwire policy" explanations.
I spoke to the supervisor two times. I was polite and reasonable about the complaint and provided proof of the star rating difference.
