Charter Communications Complaint - Bad public relations
I have just moved into an apartment complex that has very strict regulations regarding satellite dish installation, but they do have Charter Communications cable available.
The problem is I am under a contract with my satellite carrier and if I cancel service I must pay off the remaining contract unless I can provide absolute proof that the satellite cannot work at this location. I called to get a tech to come out and open up the locked cable box so the satellite tech could test the lines to see if satellite cables were hooked up in my apartment.
The person at Charter was named Brian and he works in the repair department at Charter. He ridiculed and demeaned me and said "why should Charter help me if I am not a customer" in a very rude and nasty tone of voice. I asked to talk to a supervisor and he again ridiculed me saying "wa-wa-you can't get what you want so you want a supervisor" and then the jerk hung up on me.
I was totally humiliated and really frustrated to be treated in such a manner. After all if I cannot get the satellite installed, which is what I was trying to prove, I would be calling Charter to sign up for service.
I have never been treated this way by a supposedly "professional" representative of any cable service in my life!!! What is wrong with these people?
