Super 8, Rochester MN Complaint - Nightmare stay

Review by ovrids2 on 2011-07-27
I stayed a night at the Super 8 Hotel in Rochester, MN. A couple weeks ago with my Mother. Both our rooms were horribly filthy! My room had mold around the tub and fridge door. I had to put a waste basket under the air conditioner because it was leaking so badly. I should have let it leak on the floor as the carpet was so dirty. But the worst, was when I pulled the comforter back to find it stained full of blood. Including the side of the box spring. Some rooms on that floor are allowed to smoke. With no ventilation in the hallwaY, it smells horrible. It was around 100 degrees that week, so the only air was in your room, if it worked. Mom's room was no better. Air conditioning didn't work properly, had to get manager to unplug toilet, someone had vomited in it. Mold in bathroom along with the floor being so sticky. She put down towels to walk on. Now, your probably wondering why we stayed. Well, we had driven 4 hours in the humid heat, to spend time with our sick relative at the Mayo clinic. By the time we got to our rooms we were hot and tired. I guess we assumed we could count on Super 8 to provide us with a decent room to rest, after a long stressful day.

What did management say when you brought all these complaints to their attention? Did they offer you another room?
