USPS Rosedale Maryland 21237 Complaint - Mail on front yard after complaint lodged, broken boxwood limbs by mailbox

Review by bettyewing2 on 2011-07-29
On our last trip to the beach when we came home Melvin the mailman delivered all the mail and left 3 envelopes on the front lawn. After this complaint via hold on mail he just happened to be at the fast food we were at and this morning found 2 large branches of the mature boxwood next to the mailbox broken. In the past there has been some sort of spraying of the boxwood next to the mailbox we assume its him since there has been many negative run ins with him that the LOCAL PO protects their service and appears not to discipline him.

Also we have multiple pictures of him and the next door "neighbor" who in recent past has been CONVICTED OF HARASSMENT.

I don't see any proof of wrongdoing here.

You assume M left 3 envelopes on your lawn
You assume M sprayed your bush
You have pictures of M in the company of someone who has been CONVICTED OF HARRASSMENT.
You assume M hasn't been disciplined for alleged incidents in the past.

I think you need something more concrete to convict M.

could this have been caused by kids? locally we had a rash of kids destroying mailboxes and ripping up mail in them. finally they were caught and prosecuted.

I mowed over mailboxes with a cohort in a large pickup truck back when I was young and foolish. We called it "road work".

We used a baseball bat; two hits to the side and one to the top will destroy most mailboxes
