Whirlpool - Poor Customer Service
Bad Gold side-by-side - Complaint
I purchased a Whirlpool frig and had it installed in a brand new house 1 month ago. The unit was defective and a new one was installed in approx 2 weeks. During the install of the new frig my brand new hardwood floor was scratched and it was assumed that it was Lowe's fault, which they were there the same day to start an insurance claim and make it right. 2 days after the install of the second frig it started having the same problem as the first one and a tech was sent out by Whirlpool. While he was there he pulled the frig out and a second scratch was placed in my floor due to a metal bracket installed wrong on the bottom of the frig. That now makes the scratches a Whirlpool problem and another frig was the resolution. Needless to say I was not going with another Whirlpool model and wanted Whirlpool to give me a comparable model from a different brand. I don't think that's too much to ask considering the circumstances. Not only would they not do that they are fighting me on the claim of my floor. I have spent more money from lost time at work dealing with the techs and exchanges than this frig is worth. I have spoke with numerous agents at Whirlpool, who are by far the most worthless individuals I have every had the joy of talking to. Whirlpool needs to to take a lesson from Lowe's. I went into their store and discussed this issue with them, they are going to make sure that I will get a comparable model frig and my floor will get fixed whether they pay for it or they get Whirlpool to, they are going to make this right. Whirlpool is hands down the worst company I have ever had to deal with and I will never be going back!
