Caribbean Airlines Baggage Checkin Complaint - Baggage Check At Checkin Counter

Review by remaxnj502 on 2011-07-30
SECURITY PERSONNEL IN TRNIDAD AND TOBAGO NEED TO BE TRAINED IN HANDLING AIRLINES PASSANGERS. THEY ARE UNCOUTH, HAVE AN ATTITUDE, AND THINK WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BE AFRAID OF THEM. THEY ARE MORE OF A HASSLE AND SHOW NO REMORSE. THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND SHOULD BE REPRIMANDED FOR SUCH NEGATIVE AUTHORITATIVE BEHAVIOR AND NO COMMON SENSE IN SEARCHING OUR BAGS. PLEASE HAVE THESE PEOPLE TRAINED. THANKS. This one gentleman asked me to place my 50lbs bags on the table before checking in...I explained to him that I've a back problem and he said MAM, YOU WILL MISS YOUR FLIGHT IF YOU DON'T PLACE IT ON THE TABLE. I THOUGHT HOW UNFAIR..Finally, he helped me place my bag on the table and he had a very bad attitude.

I really hate to checkin at Piarco, the security personnel need to be trained for sensitivity and not to treat us as victims.

Common sense tells me that if you are carrying a 50 pound bag, you should be capable of placing it on a table. I don't believe that is insensitive, and the guy did have a point - you needed to make your flight.

Dont load your bag so heavy if you can't pick it up. Security and airline personell (aside from baggage handlers) are under no obligation to lift your heavy bag. These people can hurt their back just as easily as you.

Hmmm....

If you can't lift your own bag, why should other do it for you.
