TCF Bank Complaint - Worst bank ever

I hate this bank. We've been with them since 2008, when we signed up for free checking... only to suddenly be charged (without notice) $9 per month after a few months. My biggest pet peeve is that I have been noticing fees for using other ATMs - which is normally fine, but I have been getting charged EIGHTEEN dollars.
Since July started, I have been going out of my way to go use TCF atm's to avoid this ridiculous fee, meanwhile getting a new account set up at a better bank. I just checked my TCF account and found yet another ATM fee - for $6. This cleared on the 19th. I haven't used an ATM since the 5th - and it was a TCF atm.
Lastly, we just deposited a check in our account. We're trying to change over to the new bank, but we're so new with them that they held our last check 7 days. I know they'll stop doing that in time, but we didn't have the cash to last that long so we opted to deposit to TCF instead. This was on a Saturday - and they have NEVER held our checks before. But suddenly our purchases were being denied... and when we went to talk to somebody, we were told that they were already on "Monday time" so we would have to wait 2 days for our check to clear. WTF. I understand waiting for checks to clear - but again, they have NEVER held our checks before. And why would they be on a Monday schedule on a Saturday?
Can't wait to close this account. Fees on top of fees. $9 monthly maintenance - for what?? I have not seen my account "maintained" in any manner. In fact, it seems to be in quite a disarray when I'm getting ATM charges weeks and weeks after I last used a non-TCF ATM. Well, unless they are just making up things now to rip me off.
