Pep Boys On 1901 Macarthur Rd Allentown Pa Complaint - Belts - Belt

Review by ghostdog401 on 2011-08-01
On 7/31/2011 at 9;05 am to have all the belt replace on my 1988 Nissan pulsar being that it would be some time before they could get to it I took the bus home and came back at 3pm car was just getting put in so I sat there for a nother hour no bigy. The maneger teels me car is ready with a small problem we are missing a bolt and can not tieten one of the belt he then said if you drive carefully you could get it home.

Yes not only was I being charged 300 dollars for the job not finished but also unsafe the belt went to my power steering and water pump I could not believe that a repair shop as big as Pep Boys which I mind you has a parts dept in store could not finish my car corectly becouse they did not have bolts or screw nuts long story short car still there if this does not turn out I will never take my car to Pep Boys ever again.

To whom it may concern my srevice tracking number is 0015 2079052 my name in therman and I'm taking the bus back home rather then drive an unsafe car do to no bolts.

Unfortunately, I don't find this surprising. On principal, I don't have my car worked on by a shop that is open on Sundays. Pep boys is like the WalMart of auto repair. I bet that place was a zoo yesterday in the heat and humidity. Your bolt probably ended up stuck in the tire tread of a pull truck having its exhaust repaired.

You did exactly the right thing to leave the car there - the manager is a bonehead to send you off driving "carefully". Who is going to get the needed bolt though?
