Geek Squad Complaint - Horrible Customer Service
After some hemming and hawing decided to call Geek Squad to see about getting a problem fixed on my desktop computer. After having spent about 3 hours on this I am done with these guys.
I set up the remote service and turned my computer over the remote tech. He spent some time checking my system and after about an hour he determined that my problem was likely hardware related and my computer would need to be brought in to the store to be looked at. He told me that I could get a refund on the $69.99 that I spent on the remote service.
I called Geek Squad back and after being on hold for 30 minutes I had the most frustrating conversation with their "customer service" representative He told me that I would have to wait at least a week for my refund to process. I was told that there was no one higher up that I could talk to and there was nothing else that could be done. He tried to indicate that waiting a week for a refund was pretty normal and that I had nothing to complain about.
If they could process my payment at light speed I don't understand what can take a week for processing the refund.
I do know that this is my first and last time using Geek Squad for ANY service. There are others out there that fix computers. I will find someone else.
