Spirit Airlines Complaint - Flight Schedule changes
CHICAGO, ILLINOIS -- I have for the last few years been a frequent patron on Spirit Airlines. Based on their flight schedules and fares, I have required the eight sales reps that I employ, to utilize Spirit whenever possible (we are a consulting service in the construction industry).
During the last two months, I have noticed a marked decline in the service provided to the O'Hare (ORD) market.
Initial contact to their customer service did not indicate that service cut backs to Chicago were pending.
Further inquiries prompted a response from Anna Marie Palazzolo, Corporate Customer Relations, that Spirit Airlines is not responsible, or liable for changing the schedule of any flight. Schedules are subject to change without notice.
I believe that an airline like Spirit, that initially moved into the ORD market at a very attractive price for its services, is now moving on to other markets. They are now advertising competetive rates to the Carribean.
When you are in business, you establish relationships with customers and expand your customer base.
Spirit apparently has the hit and run tactic, that will probably end up in long term failure.
Should Spirit return to the Chicago market, I will not allow my sales staff to utilize their service.
I would not do the same to my customers.
