Super 8 Motel---New Richmond, Wisconsin Complaint - DO NOT STAY HERE - CONDITION OF ROOMS

Review by lorettann657 on 2011-08-05
On July l6th we stoppped at the New Richmond WI Super 8 Motel. When we checked in we were given room 116 and might I say it was all downhill from there. We opened the door to a strange smell, torn carpet and pieces missing, 2" of frost on the freezer compartment of the frige, the cushions on the chairs were tattered to shreds and when I flushed the stool it almost ran over. Needless to say my husband went to the front desk and we were given room 217. This was not much of an improvement. There were strange white spots on the carpet, a long black hair stuck to the wall in the shower, and the rubber baseboard had been nailed back on leaving a rusty nail sticking out 1/8". The worst thing however, was the yellowsh brown ring around the base of the stool---I would say that this area had not been cleaned for a long time.
I thought Super 8 Motel had better standards than this. I don't mind bare essentials but I do expect clean and in good repair. Loretta
