VRBO Complaint - 78039 - Buzzards Bay

MASSACHUSETTS -- Beware of this listing VRBO 78039 - "Private Waterfront Estate on Buzzards Bay, Old home not well maintained. Wood cockroach and spider infestation which we were not made aware of until we discovered it on our own. Owner has not hired an exterminator to fix problem. Peeling and falling paint chips through out house, hoping house has been de leaded for the children that have stayed there. Dust & cob webs and spider eggs in just about every corner and spiders everywhere. Owner knowing we will not return tried to pull a fast one and keep a portion of our security deposit due to "cleaning fees".. owner claims it took another 4 & 1/2 hours to clean home, which is not true because we left the home in the same condition as we found it. After doing research, this is turning out to be an on going problem with many rentals, another way to make more money off of us.

Give the Massachusetts consumer protection office a call at (617) 727-2200 or try to use the Massachusetts government website (which can be difficult as it is poorly organized).
