Video Only Complaint - Shafted by the salesmen

HAYWARD, CALIFORNIA -- I did my research, and knew which sound system I wanted. I then price-shopped, and the salesman at Video Only offered a competitive price, said he'd take off the sales tax, AND hook it up for me. I went the next day, Saturday. He sold it as agreed, and we agreed he'd come to my place after work on Sunday to set it up....he even said to leave it in the car and he'd bring it in for me. Sunday evening I waited and waited. And waited. He never showed or called (good thing I'd brought it in myself after all). I phoned the store Monday morning and spoke with the manager. He apologized profusely and told me he'd find out what happened. More phone calls....turned out the salesman never had any intention of hooking it up; he'd just said he would, to make the sale. The manager then recommend their (off duty salesman) installation (for $50) specialist. He didn't show up, either. I called the store again. Spoke with another manager. Salesman #2 finally called and made another appointment - still for $50....but at this point I would have expected the store to not charge me. He finally showed up, made a major ruckus about what a terrific job he was doing for me, cut a crude hole in the cabinet, and charged me over $100.
The store's excuse for not being responsible is that the salesmen are doing this on their own time, not as employees of the store.
