Metro-North Railroad Complaint - Incident
For over a year I tried to get in touch with the Metro North Railroad, however, the representatives kept transferring my calls from dept to dept. On April 12, 2011 I finally spoke to someone in Claims dept and got the relevant information to report the incident that happened on May 08, 2010. I wrote a letter & mailed it out to the company with the police report & pictures. No one got back to me, so during the month of may & June I kept calling the claims Dept and could not get intouch with anyone in that dept, finally on June 23rd I left a message for some one, after I did not hear back I kept calling during the month of June & July. On numerous occasions I spoke to someone in the Cummeter Relations Dept who left voice messages & sent e-mails to the underwriter. He never got back to me, on July 25 when I finally got in touch with him he said that he had to speak to his supervisor because it was no proof that because it was not a piece of property of the Metro North, eg: a piece of the track, he could not guarantee that my claim will be accepted. Then, on July 26 he wrote me a letter telling me that the statute of limitations has expired & I had filed the police report thirteen days late. Where is moral sence??? Can't companies do what is right instead of continually trying to get over on the middle class or what used to be the middle class. Te delay was made by the Metro North System.
