Hyundai Motors Complaint - Serious malfunction of Hyundai Sonata

Review by kathyhuber818 on 2011-08-10
My husband leased a new 2011 Hyundai Sonata and when we were on Rt. 16 in New Hampshire the brakes completely failed........completely! My husband, an ex- marine, slammed on the emergency brake which stopped the car just before we would have hit 2 cars. The problem turned out to be the computer chip. The car was in the shop in New Hampshire for 1 week. Prior to the brake problem until the present time, we have been having ongoing problems with the trunk of the car opening over and over again by itself. We can't use the trunk lest we would be robbed. For the trunk problem we have had the car in for service 5 or 6 times for a total of 8 days. It has never been fixed. Now Hyundai has informed us that they are closing our case. This car is a lemon. We need to reach John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai, for his help with this ongoing problem. Please will someone help us. We have leased Hyundai before but this has been a really bad experience.

Please contact my husband at 908-755-8460 or at

Thank you,
Kathy Huber

You can try contacting him at this address:

By Mail
Hyundai Motor America
P.O. Box 20850
Fountain Valley, CA 92728-0850

Or if all else fails, you might want to consider hiring an attorney, to make contact this CEO. But that can get costly.

Have you considered looking into the New Hampshire lemon laws? This may just be the way to go.

What's this got to do with a phone? Regardless, contact your states attorney generals office to see what your state's lemon law covers. Also, do not ever post your personal information, such as your phone number and e-mail address, on a public site. You're inviting spammers, pranks and security problems.
