Hyundai Motors Complaint - Serious malfunction of Hyundai Sonata
My husband leased a new 2011 Hyundai Sonata and when we were on Rt. 16 in New Hampshire the brakes completely failed........completely! My husband, an ex- marine, slammed on the emergency brake which stopped the car just before we would have hit 2 cars. The problem turned out to be the computer chip. The car was in the shop in New Hampshire for 1 week. Prior to the brake problem until the present time, we have been having ongoing problems with the trunk of the car opening over and over again by itself. We can't use the trunk lest we would be robbed. For the trunk problem we have had the car in for service 5 or 6 times for a total of 8 days. It has never been fixed. Now Hyundai has informed us that they are closing our case. This car is a lemon. We need to reach John Krafcik, CEO of Hyundai, for his help with this ongoing problem. Please will someone help us. We have leased Hyundai before but this has been a really bad experience.
