Public Storage Informative - Beware of Rented Unit Cost - 10' By 15' Out Side Storage Unit

DARIEN, ILLINOIS -- Gave notice of vacating my 10' by 15' storage unit in on 9/6/11. After 10 years of renting with Public Storage the Darien Illinois property I discovered due to rental escalations our unit cost was almost(2x)twice the company's posted internet rental rate of 141.00 per month.
I strongly suggest any Public Storage two plus year tenant renters checking there rental unit cost posted on the internet "unit monthly cost" and comparing the same size unit at other facilities in your area.
I'll bet you find better amenities, more cordial management and certainly less predatory customer policies.
Don't get caught by the slick corp everywhere appearance. They could care less about you as a customer or your property stored.
After my 10 years of public dis-service please don't trust this corporation with your property. Go some place any place else but "Public Storage" for a fair deal.
Honestly! Public Storage facilities are OK for short term less than a year renters. Just be careful ask about flooding, theft, late fee policy, lockout, liens and associated fees. maybe you can figure out the insurance programs?

This information applies to everything, not just Public Storage.
We used them for 6 months, and paid in advance, and never had any issues with them.
