Crown Plumbing Informative - Crown Plumbing - No Call Back

Review by Alain on 2011-08-11
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA -- We had used Crown Plumbing for a number of years and they've done good work at a reasonable price. However, when you don't call the customer back when they have a plumbing problem, you lose a customer. Or maybe two of them. When my mother-in-law (who has used you for a number of years, too) called about getting her boiler replaced, you said you'd call back. You didn't. Since we hadn't decided when to schedule the job, we didn't give it much thought. A few months later, we had a drain problem at our house. We called. You said you would call back. You didn't. There are a lot of plumbers here that compete for business. We called some of them, found one we liked and they promptly fixed our problem. We, and my Mother-in-law, now have a new plumber. This is not a complaint, though, since you have been a good plumber for us in the past. Your remaining customers are probably getting a good job done. If you're calling them to get the job, that is.

It's their loss, Alain. They better get their act together before its too late.

Unfortunately this is happening with many local businesses today. They tend to ignore the loyal existing customer base in order to hopefully add a new customer. They best first look after the customer who supported and recommended them in the past.

We have so many plumbing companies in AZ its hard to know which one is good. Glad you hit the jackpot.

Well written complaint, and quite valid. Wonder if they will get the point.

Its true! Its so much easier to keep a customer than to gain new ones. This plumber must not have learned this business lesson yet.
