Pete's Auto Care Complaint - Pete's ripped me off and for what should have cost no more than $250 cost me $700

KILLEEN, TEXAS -- A military friend of mine recommended that I go to Pete's as he was a personal friend of his and he told me that they do good work. Ok, I'm a female and we all know how 99% of the garages out there charge women more and tell them they need repairs they don't need. My ABS light kept coming on and when it did, my vehicle wouldn't stop when I applied the brakes. I had already gone to Midas, Precision Tune and another place and they all told me that my brakes and rotors were fine. I go to Pete's to get just the ABS sensor fixed and when I pick up my car to leave the brakes are grinding and screeching. I made a fuss and told them that they needed to fix my brakes for free because there was nothing wrong with them when I brought my vehicle to them.... Pete and the guys at the front desk thought it was funny but I sure didn't and Pete said, "Well, we gave you a $30 discount." I guess that was supposed to make me happy at that point. I was livid and they didn't care. I ended up spending $787 for a $200 ABS sensor problem. Don't go to these jerks especially if you're a female unless you have a guy with you who appears to know what's going on. This is money I could've used for my dad's funeral as he had just passed away that very day.
