Sear Complaint - Ripoff/vehicle Battery

Review by zerlindadill2 on 2011-08-15
May 2011 I went into the Sear on 79th Stoney Island, Illinois. I purchased a vehicle battery. I was told to wait in the Store and once my vehicle was ready they would page me as long as I stayed in the Department Store. I was paged and told that a brand new DieHart battery was installed in my vehicle. I was credit for the battery and the installation. August 13, 2011 my vehicle displayed a warning message stating that I had a very low battery. August 15, 2011 I went to the Sear locationed in the River Oaks area and explained my situation to the salesperson. He checked my battery and advised me that I did not have a DieHard but a Motorcraft, at which time he advised me that they would be installing a new battery. I am very grateful for the services that were rendered to me at the River Oaks area but at the same time very irritated because of the situation. I was advised to make a complaint to your department in hopes that something would be done. Please advise me on how I can make sure that the individual involved for this type of Ripoff is punished.

Thank You in Advance

I like Sears and their batteries. I've got to get another one for my vehicle any day now. I definitely plan on buying from Sears.
