Cocker Rescue of Fort Lauderdale Complaint - Dog Adoption Ignored

Review by Anonymous on 2011-08-19
FORT LAUDERDALE, FLORIDA -- My husband and lost our beloved dog a year ago, and we are looking for a nice pet. Going thru animal shelters we found this adorable cocker spaniel named Howard # 1459390. We felt in love with him and tried several times to contact them at response. Then we decided to fill out the adoption form on 8/15/ response either.

The issue is why do they post an adoptable pet in need of love and care, and then ignore all the attempts to do so. I can only think that they are in urgent need for help to respond phone calls and review adoption requests like ours.

You may be right. The shelter may be short of volunteers. If Howard's been adopted, there are a lot of other dogs (maybe at other shelters) who could use a loving home.

This dod may have already found a home, and therefore, this is why they did not return your call.

As Alain says, the shelter could be short of volunteers.

Please consider another dog, because there are still so many that need homes, and it's people like you that will make a difference.

They should always have the courtesy of contacting you.

Best of luck. I'm a big animal/dog lover myself.
