Burger King Complaint - Unsanatary practices
When I went into this Burger King; I always go inside and stand by the counter where I am able to watch them put my order tother. Ordering from th drive through is a big gamble.......
Yesterday, a young lady walked past me fiddling with the ear piece in her hair, took my order, took my money and then went back into the food area.
She then proceeded to pick up a bun, with her bare hands, used tongs to place the meat on that bun, and then used her bare hands to place the comdiments on the sandwich, wrap it in tin foil and put it into a micro wave oven. When it was ready she slid it down the little ramp into the serving area. A young man bagged it and handed it to me. Yum, Yum, a "dirty" sandwich for over five dollars.
At this point I asked to talk to the manager. Low and behold, guess who the manager was? OMG!!!!! It was the hair touhing, money touching, UNGLOVED food preparer.
I asked heer why she had used her bare (un-clean) hands and not used gloves. First she told me that she had used gloves. I exlained to her that I was watching and I saw that she pick up the bun with BARE UNCLEAN HANDS. Then she told me that "the state of Arlington" did not require them to wear gloves'. I informed her that Arlington was not a state but a city and that I believed that they were equired to wear gloves. She said no and that was the end of her responseexcept for the discussting look on her face.
Now I know that companies use teenagers for managers because they can be pay little and they love to have a title.
But, I am entitled to receive food that has not been handled by bare hands, I know she had not even washed them befor she prepared my order. Not to mention she lied straigt to my face with that discussted face impliming that I was wasteing her time and that I should justnot be borthering her with with. Well this was MY MONEY, MY FOOD and MY TIME1
When Burger King say "HAVE IT YOUR WAY', BELIEVE ME, that is not true. It is unsanatary and the meat has been sitting under a "red" light warmer so who knows how long, so it is certainly NOT MY WAY.
I realize that losing my business is not a big deal to them and this is not the first time I have gone to this store. "First time, shame on them, second time, shame on me". I have leaned my lesson and by the time I tell all my friends and all the people who live in the multi family facility that I manage, I am sure I will not be the only one who would pefer to eat somewhere else.
Whatever happened to the customer is always right. And service should be given by a worker with a smile on her face? (even is she doesn't care who is being served)
OH, and by the way, I will be contacting the Heath Department for the STATE OF ARLINGTON". Perhaps, they will listen.
And perhaps they might start hiring peole who know that there is a difference between a state and a town. Shame on BURGER KING for fixing their bottom line by hiring people of this quality.
