Last night I went into the shell gas station on S. I-35 in Okc. I paid for $15 worth of gas and something to drink. I then went out to pump my gas but got distracted and drove off before pumping my gas. I immediately realized what I had done and turned right around and went back to pump my gas. I had driven less than 100yds from the station when I turned around. When I went I n to explain to the two people in the store and get my gas the assistant manager got rude with me and said that they werent resposible for what happens "out there". I said did you give my gas away and he said no. So I said will you give me my money back or more preferrably give me my $15 worth of gas. I asked him to pull the receipt, which he did and ofcourse it showed my purchase. Believe it or not he still wouldn't give me the gas. Even while looking at the receipt. I couldn't believe it. He said once again that they werent responsible for what happens "out there". This is a true story. It actually happened last night at 12:30 A.M. 08-21-11.

If the gas was still showing that it had not been pumped at that particular station, and no other car was there, I don't see why he couldn't let you have what you paid for. If it had been pumped, then that's a bit of a mess because no way anyone can prove who took the gas you paid for. Sorry that happened.

Did you go back to the pump you were at to see if you could still pump the gas?

There was no question that you paid for gas. The question is how the pump works, and if there was any way to easily prove that it was not pumped. If somehow the pump resets automatically, that would mask the fact that you didn't pump it.

Was someone else at the pump, that prevented you from going to the pump you had paid on? That seems so odd you weren't allowed to pump the gas you paid for, so the pump was just sitting there, with $15.00 bucks worth of gas to go, and they wouldn't let have it? Did they not allow you to go to the pump you paid on?
This is crazy. Sounds like they wanted the $15.00 bucks worth of gas for themselves.
