Verizon/Motorola Informative - Who Knew??!
So I noticed that the charge on my Droid X just wouldn't hold like it used to. I would charge it before work and it used to last me the entire day and most of the night. Over the last few days though, the battery wouldn't last into the night. So, took it over to the Verizon Wireless store in my town and was told it is probably the battery. Now, I have had the phone 1 year and 1 week but also have the insurance plan since these phones are so costly. So, I tell the gentleman to do what he has to but I need my phone to hold the charge. He tells me I will need to purchase a new battery. Huh?? So, here's the kicker. My phone insurance covers the phone, but not the battery in the phone! Lol. So I tell him but the battery came with the phone. He says that Verizon made the phone but Motorola makes the battery. I then explain that Verizon chose to contract with Motorola, not I. So why is it my fault their battery lasts a year? I could feel myself getting frustrated with the stupidity of this situation but had to calm and remind myself that this poor guy didn't make the rules, or even the phone. He was just the bearer of dumb news. So, sucked it up and bought a new battery.
Not gonna lie. I love Verizon and my Droid and the wireless coverage but this battery nonsense sucks!
