Verizon Wireless Complaint - Shady Billing - Mobile phone service
After my invoice amount had risen I called to complain about the increase. After making no sense I was told that prices are going up. So I asked if and when my contract was up and I was told that it was in two weeks. I waited till then to cancel my contract and use a different provider. So I did. I then went in to confirm the cancellation of my service with Verizon. Walked out happy from their store and was pleased with my new service that by the way was 1/2 the price of Verizon's. Four months later I get a call from a collection agency threatening to mar my credit score due to a unpaid bill from Verizon. Turns out Verizon had automatically signed me for another two year contract, but never informed me and never billed me. I told collection lady that this was the first I had heard of it. I called Verizon and ask about this misunderstanding and they told me I owed for 4 months of service and breach of contract fees. Why was I not billed for 4 months?
So I asked them to send documentation proving that I in fact signed for a 2 year contract. I have been waiting for 3 weeks and now they refuse to take off the bad mark on my credit score. Never use Verizon Wireless.
