On 8-17-2011 my 17 year old son was coming back from the grcery store with a gallon of milk; when he was slowing down and was pulling into our driveway the milk rolled off the seat onto the floor and hit the airbag module cover and the airbag deployed in his face. the vehicle is a1997 Dodge ram 1500 two wheel drive 8 foot box standard cab. I"ve been in the automotive and class 8 truck repair business for 30 years and I have never seen an airbag deploy with a small bump like that. when the airbag went off all the hair was burned off his left arm and it bruised and inflamed the muscle and popped a blood vessle in his hand. I"ve owned this truck since 1999 with 54000 miles when bought and now I have 206228 miles when the airbag went off. I don't know who manufacters this item for Chrysler but I hope it gets to who counts. If anything else I would like a new airbag and module to repair my vehicle. I have 3 mopars now and have had many since Istarted driving and will continue to purchase Chrysler products in the future.

I look at it this way - this truck is 14 years old and has over 200,000 miles on it. Evidently nothing like this has happened previously.
A gallon of milk getting loose and moving around can cause a fair shock when it strikes something. Good luck - this may be a tough road.

I'm not doubting what your son told you, but did the milk container actually hit the air bag module cover?
Sometimes teens lie to cover up something. Not saying yours is lying to you, just wondering about how the milk rolled and hit that exact spot and with such force.
