Wal-Mart Informative - Why work for nothing
While working for this monster(17 years) they didn't pay me overtime due because I was saleried. But when a person works for over 12 hours per day they should receive some kind of compensation. I did not have the ability to hire or fire so I should have been paid for the over time I put in each year which is for the last 7 years. They got rid of me because of my age and health. The last days with this company was a lol type of situation. On Friday I was taken to the hospital by a visiting associate, not a member of management. Placed in the hospital over over the weekend for test. Got out on Monday after test were finished. Went back to work on Tuesday, worked all day, and was let go at the end of the work day. Then I was told I had to be out of the condo we were using. I was working for store setup at the time. I had a heart condition and had to drive over 180 miles to get home. Had to pack everyting up and didn't arrive home until after 1 am. They still owe me for my miliage and the one meal I ate after I got out of the hospital. No WalMart isn't the company anyone wants to work for. They no longer hire full time because they don't want to have pay for benifits or have to keep insurance on them. Public must open their eyes. They no longer have enought people working in the store so now there is no longer any customer service. Another example of the all mighty dollar over helping customers and having a good company representative Wake up and let this company know that they are doing a poor job and that this company was not started this way. After all who pays your paycheck not Walmart. The public and without customers there is no job for you or anyone else. The managers could care less if you make any money as long as the are keeping sales up.
