DishTV Complaint - Broken DishTV - customer disservice
DEPT 0063, PALATINE, ILLINOIS -- Today I have spent hours trying to get to a place on Dish website where I can pay ONE bill, the search goes in circles, no matter what I've tried I get dumped back at the same irrelevant page and info. The 'chat' line is out of order as well. This started me thinking of past problems: 2007 we needed a technician for a repair, he drove 100 miles, only one they had, and then claimed he didn't have the money for fuel to get home. We floated him $40.00 cash for this.(he gave us something that really was not his to give, a allegedly new dish receiver, and we never heard from him again. I contacted Dish online about some tech. problem in a "chat", the manner of assistance would not have been acceptable face-to-face, abrupt and rude/short for a customer with excellent payment record of their premium package. I see elsewhere today that they charge$5.00 to pay over phone! That's why I've been spinning my wheels, I object to that fee. Now it looks like I can't avoid it. This plus repetitive old programming; I know there have been more than fifty movies made in the world, or that some subject matter seems to appear on various channels that have been covered already, or completely daft cheapo programs. So for me, I'm bailing ou of Dish ASAP after five years and a little more than $6,000.00 for indifference. I read another post about "curious" and possibly incorrect numbers involved with the attempt to pay online, I have a similar "unprovable" episode with a credit card co., but that's another story. These employees are either under paid, badly managed, over worked or subject to the same disregard of the "highers" and are just passing it along...anything for a job of any kind, devil-take-the-hindmost.
