Overstock.com Complaint - Poor Quality Customer Service
On July 15, 2011 I ordered a bed set for university with a promised 5-10 business day arrival. On August 4th 2011, we still hadn't received the bed set so we called. They said that it had arrived on July 20th, but Canada Post does not deliver to he specified address. My question is, how come no one ever contacted us? They told us if we had a PO Box they would ship to that. So on August 10th, we gave them our PO Box and paid $50 extra for express shipping, promised to arrive within 4-7 days.
On August 19th, we FINALLY received our shipping e-mail. We still hadn't even received the order, 9 days later. We called and they promised it would be no later than the 22nd of August and wouldn't give us a refund because we are international customers.
On the 23rd, I called them because we still hadn't received it and the International agent essentially told me that there was nothing she could do about it. She told me to contact the shipping agency where it is right now, because she couldn't. When I asked her why she was unable to, she told me her phone does not work with Canadian numbers.. I was pretty confused as to how she was talking to me if it didn't work with Canadian numbers.
Bottom line is, this company does not make you feel like a "valued customer". I'm leaving in less than two weeks and still don't have any blankets for my bed at university. I ordered it in the middle of July to allow lots of time. This company will NEVER be getting business from me ever again.
