BAKERSFIELD,CA, CALIFORNIA -- I am an owner of a 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander. This is my second Mitsubishi Outlander and the first Outlander I owned was a 2003 and it was great. I traded it in for the 2007 because it had more seating for my family. My Outlander had 69,000 miles on it and the compressor went out on my air conditioner. The dealership told me it would be $2,500.00 to repair it. The warranty would not cover it because it was 9,000 miles out of warranty. I even started a case with Mitsubishi to see if they might pay for half or even still cover it under warranty. They denied the claim and told me there was nothing they could do. They went as far as telling me to just trade it in for another car. I am very upset because first of all, the car is only four years old and I have been told by many mechanics that the compressor should not be going out already. I cannot afford the cost of already having to replace the compressor. With the hot temperatures, my kids cannot ride in my car. The compressor was defective and Mitsubishi won't admit it. I am disgusted with Mitsubishi and will NEVER buy another one!
