Papa Johns Pizza Complaint - Misleading Coupons

Review by jlccho2 on 2011-08-29
Coupon is large any way you want it $11 but ends up $18 after all hidden charges, so will be last time I order from this pizza place. This is a false advertisement.

Thank you

Once you found out there was a $7 difference between the price you were asked to pay and the coupon, what were the extra charges for?

Good question JISCal1. The same thing came to my mind.

Maybe the op is not factoring in the delivery charge and taxes.

Exactly Wally, having lived in TX (not where the OP lives) it is the taxes and a $2 delivery charge.

Maybe you did not read the coupon correctly. You should have asked them what the conditions are.

$11 for a pizza, $2 for the delivery charge, and $5 bucks in taxes??! Assuming the OP had it delivered, cuz they didn't specify that, I find it hard to believe the tax rate is 45% on the dollar in Texas.

An eleven dollar any way you want it order placed to a Texas City PJs looks like this:

Subtotal: $11.00
Delivery Fee: $2.50
Sales Tax: $1.12
Total: $14.62

Somewhere along the way the OP got hit up with a three dollar charge for something or another. It would be interesting to know that that was.

Good review!

They might have automatically included a tip. I had a pizza from Round Table delivered last month, paid by CC over the phone and they automatically charged me a $2.00 tip!
