Were there any indications the motor had issues prior to it seizing? What was the reason given for the engines failure and was it something that the dealer could have known may happen before hand?

Until you can return and post some additional information I must make some assumptions. Is this a 1985 Chevy Malibu with 235,000 miles on it that was purchased for $650.00? If so that is the risk you take. In any event, unless you have a specific warranty from the dealer it is an "AS IS" sale.

Where is this dealer located?

Supply more information and I'll give a revised opinion.

very helpful review. this will help other people in your area if considering a purchase from them, to be very careful and inspect the vehicle completely.

I have to agree with tnchuck100. Was there any warranty provided with the vehicle?

tnchuck is absolutely correct. Unless the dealer gives you a specific warranty IN WRITING, then used car sales are AS IS. Did you have the car checked over by a mechanic prior to buying it? I bet you didn't. This is a responsibility that you have when buying a used car. OP should watch more court shows such as People's Court or Judge Judy. They have three or four of these cases a week, and the plaintiff always loses.
