Honda Complaint - Complaints about 2011 FIT revisions
The 2011 FIT requires 0w-20 motor oil, changed from the 5w-20
on the 2010. 0w 20 is harder to find and almost requires me to go to the dealer for oil change. Dealer charges nearly twice what other places charge for the 2010. The 2011 does not get better mileage than the 2010. In fact my experience was the 2010 got 10 percent better fuel economy. Honda also needs to redesign the opening in front of the ac condenser to prevent rock damage to the condenser which the dealer says is not covered by warranty. A simple and cheap screen would help. Honda wants over $800 for fixing a small hole caused by what they claim was a stone / road hazard. I will get it fixed, but I will not go to the Honda Dealer which I honestly don't trust anymore. I probably will not buy another Honda because of Honda's making it more difficult to change the oil and because of the design defect and lack of support. Note I am not the only one complaining about a/c condenser defects.
