Amazon Payments Complaint - Amazon Payments suspended my account, won't explain why
Resolution Update on 09/03/2011:
Account reinstated for now (after a rather slow response), but with no explanation of the original suspension
I had been working at Amazon Mechanical Turk for about two weeks, with a 100% acceptance rate. I am a U.S. citizen working legally in the U.S. I linked and verified a U.S. bank account, waited for the 10-day holding period, then tried to withdraw my earnings (about $20) from my Amazon Payments account.
Amazon told me that the withdrawal "failed," then suspended my account (8-31-11) and froze all of my earned funds, with no explanation. They have so far failed to respond to two inquiries to their "contact us" desk. They have also blocked me from using Amazon Mechanical Turk, which would have provided me with much-needed income.
I have preserved relevant screenshots and saved the auto-generated e-mails they sent regarding my earnings and the "failed" transaction. They have not sent me any e-mail regarding the account suspension as of yet (9-2-11).
