Radio Shack along with Auvio Complaint - Does Auvio really exist?
I was given a 7 1/2 Auvio TV for Xmas. Approximatley three weeks ago the TV just started to change channels on it's own. I thought maybe there was a set up issue. Not so. It appears it overheats and will randomly change the channnels. I search on the internet for anumber to Auvio. They have a very generic web page and an 800 # to call. When you call you receive a message to go back to Radio Shack where the item was purchased. I called my local Radio Shack where I purchased it and they told me no if it is beyond 30 days they have to send me back to the manufacturer. Auvio is out of Shanghai, China. The 800 # allows you to leave only a message and they will get back to you within 24 hrs. Not so. I called my local Radio Shack again and they gave me the district managers phone number. The district manager is never there and his office staff became very rude and said she could not help me and I need to call Auvio 5 or 6 or 7 times whatever it takes. My suggestion was that Radio Shack needs to back up the products they sell. Again she adamately suggested that I continue to call Auvio. When I implied maybe I should write a letter to the attorney general as they are not willing to support the products they sell she told me we needed to end this call if I am going to threaten a legal action. I believe anyone thinking of purchasing from Radio Shack think twice as they only hae a 30 day return policy no matter what.
