winchester Complaint - package - winchester white box 45 acp ammo

Review by tpebop on 2005-07-16
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS -- I recently bought a 100 round value pack of Winchester white box ammo in .45 acp I often use this when I am too lazy to reload some 45 or I want to fire my glock as it dosent seem to like reloads. In the past the bullets were packed neatly in a set of stryofoam inserts and then in the white box this was cool because I could use the stryo foam tray for reloads or a loading block as well as having a neater bench at the range today I open my box to find one hundred loose rounds no stryofoam. I know they do this on the mm and that was cool cuz I don't reload 9mm but even though the packaging is less the price is the same what a bummer looks like its more reloading and less range time with the glock what a bummer

That seems not only like a huge inconvience to you, but also a safety issue to have live rounds just thrown loose in a box.

live round loose in the box is common in.22lr and 9mm luger so hard to say if it is unsafe I suppose a bullet could smack into the primer of another hard enough and then wow there would be fireworks

Ya, I have had packages delievered before that literally had holes and tears through the box. If this had happened to a box of loose rounds, there might be problems.
