Sears Complaint - Unreturnable Item
I recently made an order for Hoover vacuum cleaner belts through Sears and Action Packaged. I paid for the items at the store when an employee placed my order online. I did not know she was ordering it from a third party (Action Packaged) or that it was not returnable. The items should have cost about $7 plus shipping ( I found out later), but she charged me over $26 and did not give me an invoice, just a Sears receipt.
I received the wrong items. Action Packaged will only deal with you through e-mail, and after I told them that Sears never sent me an e-mail confirming my order, they wouldn't reply. I've gone back to the store as well as calling the Sears customer service number, but they say they can't help me or give me my money back (even though the receipt says, "Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back").
The employees at Sears, online and at the store, were either trying to be helpful but seriously unknowledgeable, or downright uncaring. Think I'll skip shopping there.
I found the right vacuum cleaner belts at a small vacuum-sewing machine business locally...$7 and no shipping!
Oh, yeah...Sears also "Values Your Feedback!" it says on the receipt, but only within seven days.
