www.Expedia.com Complaint - Beware of Expedia - airline tickets

I booked a vacation package months ago through Expedia. Today, 4 days before the trip, I was contacted by expedia by phone and by email telling me of flight changes. I was finally directed to take the email to the airport (a 40 minute drive) ASAP and asked to be rebooked according to the details in the email. I did so. The changes were significant. The flight was now 4 hours sooner than I had expected to fly and was on a totally different airline. I took the email to the airport as directed. The new airline would be happy to rebook me...for a fee in excess of $500! Why should I be expceted to pay for a change that I did not want and did not request. Expedia customer service is a joke. At this point, I don't know if I have tickets or not. Please look elsewhere for your travel needs. If you cannot trust your travel agent to get the small things right, how would you trust them with the major things?
