Wal-mart Informative - Tire Centerkinda half a$$
I just bought four new tires for my car and had my oil changed at Walmart in hiawatha, ks. The old ones where worn out from the previous owner and a worn out upper control arm. I noticed that after I started home I still had a vibration in the front end.(yes, I should have went right back, but I had my wife and kids with me and we all know how long it takes to get four tires and an oil change at walmart). When I got home I jacked the front end up and ran the car in gear and saw the right front wheel was bent. Of course the wheel was already bent before Walmart worked on it, no blame there, and it was the spare wheel anyway(just a steel rim, not aluminum like the rest) I looked in the hatch and saw the normal aluminum wheel in there. Anyway, I think Walmart must use static balancers for balancing wheels. That would explain why the didn't notice the bent wheel. I don't really blame the employees but Walmart could probably train their employees to go that extra mile when they see something like an odd wheel on a car. I'm going to go to a shop with a spin balancer tomorrow so I can make sure the aluminum wheel isn't bent also. This isn't really a complaint, just hoping you can learn from my mistake.
