Hydroxatone Complaint - Not Enough Info - Hydroxatone Cream

Hydroxatone Cream - Complaint
Review by sylviagavan on 2011-09-05
Like others I was given to believe the cream was on a free trial, and if I liked it I would order more, so I was surprised to read on the invoice that after 30 days they were going to take the cost £140, so I too have cancelled my card. Ive tried phoning them but it seems they are having problems with the phone. And I have emailed them and nobody has got back to me.

You might try posting a complaint at http://ftccomplaintassistant.gov
It probably won't stop Hydroxatone since they have been doing this ploy for a while and, as long as their lawyers are good and consumers keep sending them money for this worthless junk, they'll keep on selling this stuff. However, it will eventually at least make things inconvenient for them when and if the government ever decides to look into their sales tactics.

When giving credit card numbers online, try to use a credit card that offers pseudo numbers so that the number can only be used one time.

Hydroxatone Support, you can't hide the facts:

1. You put people on well hidden auto ship programs at $80.00 a month and more.

2. You make it impossible for people to cancel and return within the return window.

3. You ship the trial product after the trial period has expired.

4. You answer the ordering phones in seconds. While letting people sit on hold for hours for customer service.

5. Your CSR's are often rude and offshore non English speakers.

There is more, but you see that no one is fooled anymore.

Why do people fall for this scam?
Posted by JISCal1 on 2011-09-30:
Who knows, Wally. Anytime a company wants a credit card number for a free trial, RUN AWAY! Run fast!

If it was truly free, you would not be asked for a credit card number. They would send you the free trial sample, COD, and this way all you would have to pay for are the shipping charges when the item is delivered. That's how a reputable company would do business.

Free means free. Asking for a credit card number is the first red flag it's not a free offer.

Spot on reviewers, credit card number means they are going to be wanting to ding it as much as they can until caught.
