Darcars Complaint - Unprofessional sales Team

Review by thood on 2005-07-18
NEW CARROLLTON, MARYLAND -- My husband and I recently bought a Honda Element (used)from Darcars of New Carollton, Maryland. When we purchased the vehicle the brakes were going out and there was some body work that needed to be taken care of. We were told numerous times that it would be fixed, ALL OF IT! So, we signed the purchase agreement. Our car sat in their body shop for ten days, untouched! We then had to beg for a rental so we could get to and from, they authorized a rental for one day. At the end of the day we took the rental back and went to pick up our car. We waited 2+ hrs to see the car. The repairs had not yet been made! They then asked us to take our car saying they were too backed up to make said repairs at that time! The saled people are rude and tactless, the used car manager Initials A.S. is even worse. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone!

This sounds terrible! I had a great experience at the Darcars Toyota in Silver Spring, so not all Darcars are bad.

I went to Darcars Toyota of Silver Spring on july 23 07 to purchase a new Tacoma pickup. I was told that the main option I was looking for (stability control) was not avail on any present 07 models. To get it I would have to order a 2008 model for an additional premium over the 07 models, it would take 6 to 8 weeks to arrive. I agreed and paid a $500.00 deposit. On Sept 21 07 (8 1/2 weeks) with zero calls from toyota I called myself to find out what was going on with my order. After waiting 2 hours while they researched my order, I was told it was in and I could come anytime to pick it up. BUT. It did not have all the options I requested; it did NOT have stability control. Did they really think I was going to just say OK? Did I really wait almost 9 weeks for something I could have driven right off the lot 9 weeks ago? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! I have driven Toyotas since 1979 and my wifes 2006 carrolla my be our last

Stay away from the service of Darcars Toyota in Fredrick, MD. My son took our 04' Prius in for the headlight sensor warning light. For $118 they do "diagnostics" and say"yea that's the headlight sensor It's bad, we don't fix them (as in the fix I now found on line) we just replace them" $335 plus 2.5 hr labor = $665!!!!!!!!!!!!!
