Good Feet - Jacksonville Complaint - Buyer Beware - Arch Supports
I went in the Jacksonville store and met with a very nice sales person. She took impressions of my feet and got three sets of the same insert, each with a different rigidity - soft, medium and firm. I asked specifically, "What is this going to cost?" She told me "$299.00." She did not tell me it was $299.00 for each set - medium and firm - for a total of $600.00. The "soft" set, usually $85.00, was thrown in for "free." After I decided to purchase, I was told the correct price. I should have known, at that moment, that I was not dealing with a reputable business. I did buy one pair, for $299.00 plus tax, but decided that same day I was going to return them for a refund. GOOD LUCK. At the very bottom of the invoice, which you receive AFTER the sale, it says, "*all sales are final" That was the final insult. No refunds. I plan on reporting Good Feet to the Florida Attorney General's Office as well as the Florida Consumer Protection agency. I also found out after the fact, that they are not eligible for reimbursement from health insurance as they are not prescription inserts.
A final thought, no two persons' feet are identical. The Good Feet inserts are. There is no provision in the "off the shelf" molded plastic inserts to accommodate differences in feet. Be warned. Caveat Emptor.
