Regal Honda, Lakeland FL Complaint - Vehicle Service Contract
I had an appointment with Regal Honda on 8/26/11. The service representative that I spoke with was Rob Young. The problem with my 2005 Honda Accord is that my windows would not roll down, the lights around my navigation would not light up at night time, and my tail lights did not come on.
When I arrived I gave Rob Young a copy of my Complete Care plan that I paid for at the time that I purchased the vehicle. It was due to expire on Monday, 8/29/11. Rob told me that he would call and check to see if it was covered. A few ours later I get a call from Rob telling me that my bill would be $360 and that unfortunately it was not covered under the plan. Upset I decided to call the claims company to find out what I paid for. They informed me that Rob Young never called to find out if it was covered. I called Rob back to tell him that they said it was covered and that they informed me that he never called. While he apologized for not calling, his explanation was that he's worked there for 14 years and never knew of any wiring claims that were approved. I received a check for my wiring repairs on 9/3/11 from the Vehicle Service Contract company. I had to run around, fax paperwork, and send in receipts on my own...something that Regal Honda should have done on my behalf.
The burning question is how many customers have been lied to and have paid cash for things that were covered under this plan that they purchased from Honda?
