LeafFilter, Inc Complaint - False Advertising and Fraud
Anyone living in Washington must be familiar with a company that produces a one piece gutter assembly which works on the principle of water adhesion. The top of the assembly hangs over the bottom part, and water follows the curve and goes into the gutter part, while leaves and pine needles just fall off. LeafFilter claims that their mesh attachment to your existing gutter is better. In their TV ad, they show what is purported to be a LeafGuard unit, showing pines needles and stuff falling into the LeafGuard. I just wonder how stupid LeafFilter thinks people are. The alleged LeafGuard in the LeafFilter ad has purposely been assembled so that instead of hanging over the gutter, it empties into the gutter. One does not have to be a genius to see that LeafFilter is playing fast and loose. Anyone who is familiar with p[ine needles knows that they come to a very sharp point, and will stick in the mesh. I am not in the market for gutters, being a renter, but I am ticked because LeafFilter is insulting my intelligence with a lying demonstration.
